Strategic Planning

National and local planning has changed significantly in recent years as the old Local Plans are being replaced by Local Development Frameworks. We have been heavily involved locally with the preparation of these documents, and our team has been involved in key stakeholder groups within all the local District Councils. We lobby hard for our clients’ sites to be included within the new framework document. We are able to put forward arguments showing how national and local needs can be met by the sites, with the aim of including them in future development.

Planning Applications

We are able to submit planning applications for all types of property from new build commercial properties through to extensions and renovations of existing and listed buildings. Our team has extensive and practical knowledge of working on all types of buildings, encompassing everything from eco-specification to traditional construction methods used in historic properties. As well as applications based on new build and property renovation, we are also skilled in submitting retrospective planning applications for change of use or for the removal of planning conditions.

Building Regulations & Specifications

We are able to prepare detailed building regulation submissions to meet current legislation. Once building regulations approval has been obtained these drawings can be used to formulate specifications which in turn can go out to tender with local construction companies .

Barn Conversions

Our team has successfully obtained planning permission for the conversion of traditional agricultural building into residential dwellings throughout East Anglia. Our sympathetic designs and knowledge of local and national planning policy have enabled us to guide our clients through the planning process.

As planning has become more complex, Local Authorities have increased the requirements which have to be met to make a successful application. We have increased our experience, knowledge to cover areas such as protected species which may be present, contaminated sites, tree surveys and history of buildings. All this experience enables us to give very practical professional advice.
