Andrew started work in estate agency in 1973 following a Business Studies course at college. He joined the National Association of Estate Agents, becoming an Associate in 1977, a full Member in 1981 and a Fellow in 1984. He is a Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents. Andrew has owned his own business and been a Regional Director of a national chain.
Fran joined the company in 2008 after completing her A levels. She has worked in the Residential Sales department since then and successfully completed NVQ levels 2 and 3 in the sale of residential property. She has also gained the NAEA Technical Award in Residential Estate Agency which qualifies her as a member of National Association of Estate Agents. Fran is a keen horsewoman.
A direct descendent of our founder, the original George Durrant, Nicholas studied structural engineering in London for BSc & MSc degrees. He also studied Oceanography in Massachusetts. Nicholas worked in the Middle East & in London for Italian & American companies before joining the family firm at the Harleston office. He became Chairman in 1993 & now specialises in Commercial, Agricultural & Litigation matters.
Chris graduated from The Royal Agricultural College in 2007, joined Durrants in 2010, having worked for Brown & Co in Bury St Edmunds for a year. He is based in the Harleston Office as assistant to Nick Durrant, involved mainly in farm agency, valuations and general professional work. Chris is currently undertaking the Rural Pathway APC.
Claire joined Durrants as an Agricultural Secretary in May 2012. She had previously worked for St. Peter's Brewery as an Office Assistant after finishing Sixth Form in 2007 where she got A-Levels in History, Art, Product Design & an AS Level in Psychology. Claire enjoys cooking, baking & hosting diner parties as well as going to gigs & festivals. Claire also likes keeping fit at the gym.
Diane joined us in 2005 as a part time secretary in the Survey & Valuation Dept., having moved up from Hertfordshire. Diane previously worked at the University of Hertfordshire as Secretary to the Head of Dept. of Physiotherapy, the Daily Mail in London, for a tour operator & as a school secretary. Of her many interests, she is a qualified reflexologist & plays the piano with great enthusiasm but little talent & is also a church bell ringer.
Rob graduated from Reading University in 1995, with a BSc (Hons) in Land Management & qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1997. He has wide ranging commercial property experience having worked extensively throughout East Anglia since 1989, dealing with all aspects of commercial property work. Halesworth born; Rob lives locally with his young daughter & in his spare time he is a keen cook & frustrated musician.
Tracey joined Durrants in 2012 following six years as a Farm Secretary/Admin, & prior to that for TW Gaze of Diss as a Secretary for the Agricultural team & then as an admin. at Diss Auction Rooms. Tracey has previously been a keen member of Harleston Young Farmers & is now on the Friends of Archbishop Sancroft High School. In her spare time she enjoys walking & reading & attempting to bake for family and friends.
